Marketing professionals, small business owners, and anyone who’s managed a social media profile will be able to relate to the following Top 10 Relatable Marketing GIFS.

1. Off Brand is Not Allowed

Brand, and brand voice, should always be considered in your marketing efforts. You don’t want any of your messaging or imagery to be off brand. Working with a marketing team that knows your business can keep you on brand and set you up for success!

2. Font Choice is Important

Branding is crucial, and an important part of that branding involves font choices. If you use the wrong fonts, you’ll definitely convey the wrong message. Fonts set the tone of everything you say. Baseline Creative started out as Baseline Fonts, so we know a thing or two about font creation and selection.

3. Analytics and Tracking are Cool

If you’re not measuring your efforts, then you can’t know what’s going right and what needs to be improved! Be like the cool kids and make sure you have Google Analytics installed on your site. We give that effort a big thumbs up. If you need help installing the tracking code or deciphering the analytics, Baseline Creative can help! We are a certified Google Partner Agency after all.

4. Don’t Forget to Caffeinate

This one is more of a suggestion, but totally relatable. Our team at Baseline Creative is known to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, or two! The Meryl Streep before and after coffee GIF says it all. Cheers!

5. Content Creation is Important

Content is key when it comes to marketing. From website content, blogs, social media, print collateral, and more, your content needs to be strong and working in favor of your efforts. You want your content to be engaging and also bring traffic to your business. Need help with content? Our team is like the cats in this GIF when it comes to content creation and strategy.

6. Creativity Matters

We mentioned content above, but want to stress that it has to be creative! If your content isn’t educational, entertaining, or evoking emotion in the viewer then it likely needs a creative boost. Instagram Features Algorithm and Feed Changes 2022

Is Instagram Going Algorithm Free?

By Blog

Instagram has announced some upcoming algorithm changes for user feeds that will affect consumers and advertisers alike. Over the past few years, Instagram users have complained about excessive advertisements and not seeing enough content from friends and companies they follow. Along with not seeing all relevant posts, posts do not show up in reverse chronological order. The content shown to viewers, and the order in which it is shown, can make or break the user experience on social media. Instagram usage, however, continues to rise and Instagram stakeholders are working to shape the user experience for the better. Keep reading to learn about upcoming Instagram changes that are projected in 2022.

Increasing Control Over Content Feeds

Adam Mosseri, Instagram chief, shared on his Instagram that they are testing feed changes in 2022. With the proposed changes, users will be able to toggle between three different feeds; Home, Favorites, and Following. These three feeds utilize the algorithm in different ways.

  • Home will be similar to current Instagram feed settings. Home, using the algorithm, features suggested profiles, advertisements, and other relevant content during your time spent on the app.
  • Favorites will consist of select profiles marked as favorites. Mosseri mentions using this feed for family or other profiles he wants consistently view.
  • Following will be similar to the previous Instagram experience consisting of only accounts you follow with posts listed in reverse chronological order, showing the latest content first.

What Will Instagram Algorithm Changes Mean for Advertisers?

Will Instagram’s feed customization features make users feel more in control and happier, resulting in more time spent on the app? We think so. Therefore, Instagram will still be a great place for companies to focus marketing efforts. We see great promise in the Home feed of Instagram. Advertising is all about getting the right message in front of the right person at the right time. Users browsing the home feed want inspiration, entertainment, and new content. Strong and engaging content will be vital to stand out on Instagram.

Case Study: SafetyTec Services

By Blog

For over ten years, Baseline Creative has had the pleasure of working with the SafetyTec team on websites, print collateral, logo design—even animations. As one of the top fire prevention services companies in the region, SafetyTec has steadily grown and Baseline has been honored to be part of that growth.

Growing Together

SafetyTec serves Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Nebraska providing commercial hood cleaning, ceiling tile cleaning, wall cleaning, fixture cleaning, and most recently, fire suppression services. “We love seeing SafetyTec expand and grow their business into new markets,” Williams said. “

“We’ve just found that the responsiveness and the understanding of our business, and the collaboration that we’ve been able to achieve has really taken us to where we are today,” said Andy Jacobs, SafetyTec Services President.

Nathan Williams, Principal at Baseline agrees with Andy that the collaboration with Baseline and SafetyTec has produced amazing work and a wonderful working relationship. “Andy and his team are good people. We love that he trusts us to fulfill his vision and is always open to new things.”

Website Design & Social Media

Andy’s vision for a new website was something that was modern and interesting. Using the SafetyTec brand colors, and black and white photography, Baseline designed and developed a website that is striking and contemporary. SafetyTec worked with a videographer to capture a video of their crew on the job and Baseline used that motion throughout the site. “We have probably one of the best websites in the industry and we could not have done that without Baseline,” Jacobs said.

Each month the Baseline digital strategists create content for the SafetyTec social media channels. “We’ve seen over the years that consistent, high-quality content on social media, has increased the brand awareness for SafetyTec and drives people back to the website,” said Andrea Anglin, a digital strategist at Baseline. “We love coming up with new and interesting ways to tell the SafetyTec story.”

Baseline Creative is proud to work with SafetyTec and their team to build brand awareness, generate leads, and help them tell their brand story. If you need assistance with your brand, contact us. We’d love to help!

Case Study: EPIC Vets

By Blog

In 2017, veterinarian and entrepreneur, Dr. Lonny Pace reached out to Baseline Creative to rebrand an emergency pet clinic located in Temecula, California. The Emergency Pet Clinic of Temecula, now called EPIC Vets, needed an all-new look including a new website, new branding, social media management, and reputation management.

Brand Identity, Web Design & Social Media

The designers at Baseline worked to create a new logo and identity for EPIC Vets. As the new owner of the clinic, Dr. Pace wanted to breathe new life into the business. The new logo, identity, and brand standards were created and used in print collateral including updated business cards, brochures, and promotional items for EPIC’s staff and patients.

The website EPIC had needed a design update and needed to be optimized for search engine optimization (SEO). Baseline built the new website and focused on organic SEO which was lacking in the previous website. Traffic increased on the website 100% from January 2017 to December 2017. Organic traffic accounted for 56.5% of the traffic to the website and paid search (Google campaigns) accounted for another 12.2%. In the past year, online forms and even an app for EPIC has helped them process patients faster and more efficiently—including communicating new Covid precautions.

The Baseline team also created social media content and began managing all the platforms for EPIC, increasing their social media presence and their brand awareness. Social listening and quick responses helped the page grow and helped the EPIC team manage and respond to reviews. EPIC fans are engaged and enjoy the educational and playful content created for the brand.

Reputation Management

Reputation management, including online reviews, was important to EPIC. As an emergency vet clinic, the patients they see are often critical. As a result of the stressful and emotional nature of clinic visits, some online reviews were negative, especially if animals were not able to be saved. EPIC began using Baseline’s Full-Service Review survey tool to survey patients’ families immediately after treatments. The survey allowed EPIC patients to link directly to Google and Facebook reviews for people who scored EPIC with 4 or more stars. For those with negative feedback, their results were immediately directed to the clinic where the team could assess the situation and reach back out to the reviewer to resolve issues before they were online. The result is that the average review for EPIC increased from 3.1 stars to 4.1 stars.

Why Baseline Creative?

Since starting work with EPIC Vets, Baseline has built a great relationship and has been involved in many additional projects for Dr. Pace. When asked why he enjoys working with Baseline Creative, Dr. Pace said, “Baseline follows the ‘yes’ philosophy to customer service that we follow at EPIC.  If you can dream they will find a way to make it happen.”

Never Go to the Grocery Store Hungry

By Blog

I shop. All the time. I love to go to the grocery store. It’s my place filled with my people. Perhaps I should feel uncertainty and angst about being surrounded by people I don’t know. However, that’s not my headspace.

I live vicariously through the daily updates I receive from grocery store employees. They share excerpts of their lives and families. I reciprocate and I consider them friends.

While I shop, I reflect on what I treasure most: sitting down with my family and listening to their thoughts and feelings. The dinner table, that is where the magic happens.

Two pieces of collective advice to share that pertain to life, and marketing.

Turn Strangers into Friends

If I don’t know them, I will get to know them. Legendary designer and creative Mike Quon visited Wichita many years ago to speak at the Wichita AIGA event and I had the honor of driving him around for the day.

Mike Quon is humble, especially given everything he’s accomplished.

More than any of his success, though – is a piece of advice that he shared with me. It goes something like this: talk to five people you don’t know, every day. Life is about connecting with others.

Don’t Let Desperation Make Decisions for You

When you’re looking for help with marketing, design, websites, software or apps, take your time!

Creative agencies are all different. For instance, we refer quite a few people we meet to other agencies based on the approach that is right for their needs.

More than anything else, understand that the value of an investment grows over time. Nurturing a plant yields significantly more fruit.

About Baseline Creative, Inc., a Full-Service Creative Agency

At Baseline Creative, we’ve found a niche. We are performance-based. What this means for our clients is that instead of having a contract for years, we have an agreement for service. Furthermore, we believe in transparency. We love talking with people and helping them find an appropriate fit between their brand(s) and their audience.

We’ve grown over the years through hard work, consistency, adaptation and earning the trust and respect of clients we serve.

Baseline Creative proudly offers marketing services to a variety of industries. For example, creative strategy, marketing, website design, app design, and software design. In addition, we also offer branding and identity, photography, social media management, videography, and animation. Further, we offer an array of other services and solutions, all done by our in-house team. We serve as a think tank and sounding board for many businesses, too.

We share many ubiquitous axioms.
